Join us on Sunday, November 16th for a Film Portrait Photography Workshop with Cara, a professional photographer who specialises in capturing authentic, natural moments on film.
In this fun and beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the tips and tricks behind beautiful portrait photography — from posing and framing to using your natural environment to bring out personality and light. 🌿
We’ll meet at the welcoming Books n Cup café, where we’ll settle in over warm drinks, chat about the kinds of photography we each love, and take a moment to get to know one another. Cara will share her journey with film and introduce the portrait and film basics in a relaxed, beginner-friendly way.
From there, we’ll take a gentle walk around the charming streets of Stockbridge, with Cara guiding us through prompts and tips on what to notice, frame, and capture. You’ll learn how to see your surroundings differently and experiment with film in an encouraging, easy-paced setting.
Cara will guide you through both sides of the camera:
💫 How to pose and feel confident in front of it
💫 How to direct and capture flattering, candid portraits behind it
💫 How to help others feel relaxed and at ease while being photographed
You’ll leave with gorgeous film portraits of yourself and the confidence to take them for others! 🎞️
Don’t worry if you’re a little camera shy — Cara will gently adapt the session to your comfort level so you can enjoy the experience at your own pace.
