GCC Voluntary Role: Venue & Discounts Coordinator

GCC is growing and we’re looking for a Venue & Discounts Coordinator to help expand our lovely network of local partnerships across Edinburgh. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting independent businesses, and helping create exciting opportunities for our community.

The Role

As our Venue & Discounts Coordinator, you’ll be the point of contact between GCC and local shops, cafés, restaurants, and venues. You’ll help secure:

  • Potential event spaces for GCC workshops and meet-ups

  • Exclusive GCC member discounts with local businesses

Your work will directly support GCC events, member perks, and our mission to uplift and collaborate with local, women-friendly spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reach out to local cafés, shops, restaurants, and venues via email, phone, and in person

  • Build and maintain warm, professional relationships with potential partners

  • Visit venues in person to discuss collaborations and assess suitability

  • Secure and document GCC-exclusive discounts and venue agreements

  • Keep records of partnerships and communicate updates with the GCC team

Who We’re Looking For

  • Friendly, confident, and professional communicator

  • Organised with good time-management skills

  • Comfortable representing GCC in person

  • Proactive and happy to work independently

  • Passionate about community, local businesses, and women-led spaces

Requirements

  • Access to a phone and computer

  • Ability and willingness to visit venues in person

  • Great communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong organisation and professionalism
